Being made redundant is not a comfortable experience. Picking yourself up and going for another job is not always as straightforward as some people might say it is. However there are many stories of people who have been through the mill and come out the other side in a better place. Some have even changed strategy altogether and decided that they are not going to deliver value to a company that might toss them aside like a used handkerchief at the first sniff of financial difficulty! Instead they took a riskier strategy of becoming freelance or setting up their own business. Here's a story about someone who did just that.
